Rev. Paul L. Harton is a native of Gordo, AL. He has been married to Janet Jones Harton for 30 years. They have three beautiful daughters named Casey, Stacy and Rolaina and granddaughter named Makiyah. Rev. Harton is a graduate of American Military University (AMU) where he received his Bachelors of Art Degree in Religion. He is now serving his 29th year in the army as a Health Care Recruiter and is stationed in Birmingham, AL. Rev. Harton accepted God's call to Preach the Word to God's people in March of 2003. He received his license to preach in March 2004. He served as a local preacher at Acks Chapel CME Church in Gordo, AL from March 2004 to July 2005. He became pastor of Poplar Springs CME Church in Northport, AL in July 2005. In July 2009, Rev. Harton left Poplar Springs CME Church and became pastor of Bass Tabernacle CME Church in Akron, AL. As the new pastor of Bass Tabernacle CME Church, Rev. Harton plans to continue spreading the good news of God's word and as stated in Isaiah 43:19 bring about a new thing.
